What is the quality of your oil?

It is very high quality.  Our oils aren't the usual brand names that your customers will recognize, but they are every bit the quality of them.  All of our products are API licensed (license #2212) and meet/exceed the newest oil specifications.

Think of it as being similar to going to the grocery store.  You can buy the brand name chips or the store brand that taste virtually the same for much less money.  Sometimes the store brand even tastes better than the branded bag of chips, sometimes it doesn't but they are usually pretty similar. Our oil is the "house brand", you aren't paying for the name on the bottle and it will meet every requirement and specification the major brands will.

We have sold over 1 million gallons of our oil and never had an issue.  When you are fast growing company and selling products at a much lower price than your competitors, you can be certain they will try and find any reason to cut you down.  With that being said, our competitors have pulled 100's if not 1,000's of samples of our oil from shops across the midwest and every one of them has came back meeting/exceeding specifications.  In this day & age, you won't survive very long in business selling an inferior product.

Do I need to be in to sign for my delivery?

No, it's not necessary but we recommend it.  If you are there, you can confirm with the driver that you received the correct order and the drums weren't damaged during transit.

4

How long will my delivery take to arrive?

We have found on average it takes 48 business hours to arrive at your shop.  Sometimes it's one day, sometimes it's three days.  A lot of this depends on the time of the day that we receive the order, if it's after 12 P.M. it usually won't ship until the following day as the freight trucks have already left on their routes.

How do I find product information?

Click on the "Products" tab listed above.  You will find all the products listed along with the Product Data Sheets and MSDS Sheets.

6

Can I just order 1 drum?

Absolutely, but it will cost a little bit more due to freight costs.  When you bundle & save you disperse the shipping costs between multiple drums and lower your received cost per gallon.

7

Is your website secure?

There is no personal information saved on the Oil Quik website.  All personal and credit card information is entered on Paypal after you put the drums you want in the cart.  You will be redirected to their site to finalize the purchase.  Although it seems no website is 100% secure anymore, PayPal is one of the most secure websites on the internet.  If you aren't comfortable entering your information on PayPal, please contact us with your order at 1-844-OIL-QUIK.

8

My business is tax exempt, can I give you my exemption number?

Yes, but it's only required if your order is being shipped to Kansas, Oklahoma or Arkansas.  Before entering your purchase, please click on the tab above called FAQ and under that the "Tax Exemption Form & Info."  Fill in your tax ID information and click the submit button on the bottom of the page.  If you aren't tax exempt, you will need to pay the sales tax due on the transaction.  The sales tax is based on your location, not on where we ship from.  We will have to run your credit card a second time for the sales tax due before the order can be shipped.

9

Who manufactures your oil?

Our oils are blended by Smitty's Supply in Roseland, LA.  Smitty's is an independent lube blender and one of the largest repackagers of Shell products in the USA.  All of our products are API licensed and meet or exceed all of the newest oil specifications.  Many customers call our oil their "house brand" oil.  It is every bit the quality of any major brand oil but you just don't have to pay the major brand price!

10

How do I check the API Licensing on your oil

API (American Petroleum Institute) is the starburst you see on the back of your oil bottles.  This starburst guarantees the customer that the product you are buying meets all specifications and is approved to be used in all engines that call for that grade of motor oil.  Great Plains Oil Company's API licensing can be seen here:

How can you sell oil at such a low price with shipping & the drum included in the price?

This is the most common question we receive.  We have taken the big box store approach to this. Sell a higher volume at a lower margin and pass on those savings to you.  We also keep our overhead low and that's reflected in the price.

Think of your local oil distributor, they have a sales rep calling on you.  He's getting paid 25% commission.  When you call them to pay your bill, you reach an office full of people in the accounting office.  They have an overpaid sales manager sitting around reading call reports all day.  These things aren't free, you are paying for them in the form of an inflated oil price.  We cut all this garbage out.  Do you need a sales rep stopping by and bothering you in the middle of the day?  Is it worth paying an extra 25% on your oil for his visits?  We don't think so, we would rather save you that 25% right off the bat.

Our system is simple, keep our overhead low, keep our margins low and our volume high, arrange reliable & cost efficient freight contracts and make sure our customers are being served in the best possible manner.
